Importance of technology to the rural farmers.

Farming over the last few years has evolved.  The transition from small scale farming by families last century to large scale by the newest sets of humans has been Interesting, as most families now prefer to buy directly from small scale traders who buy from large scale traders who then buy from the large scale farmers, And the cycle goes on an on. Pretty ironic.  Sincerely, with how the world has grown, we still don't understand why a sane man would willingly choose to hold a hoe and cutlass and decide to clear plots of lands all because he is denied access to a mechanized system of farming, Probably because he wants to cut down opportunity costs, or simply doesn't have the money, Thereby leading to unnecessary stress and so much time in trying to cultivate plants he could have just done easily with a tractor under an hour or less. The importance of technology to the rural farmers should not be overlooked though, Because statistically, in the villages ...

An Insight of Technological development on Agriculture.

Nigeria, as one of the best food producing country, needs some electronic innovation  in the field of agriculture. Monitoring and control of farming  environment play a crucial role in farming production and  management. Farm lands and plantations in Nigeria and  west African countries are usually very large scale running thousands of acres and in most cases fencing these large  expanses of land are prohibitively expensive and really overwhelming.  Farmers therefore act by putting together fences using  sticks and ropes and these provide the individual security measure  they can adopt. These security measures are feather-brained and really ineffective as intruders can easily jump them and move  away with the yielding amount of crops as they will carry them without the  knowledge of the owners, especially when such fences are erected around dark crevices. Also, with this situations in  West Africa where farmers face security th...

These are (a) cassava flour, (b) crude ethanol, (c) native starch, and (d) animal feed/cassava chips and pellets and are discussed below. Furthermore, each of the main industrial products (cassava flour, chips for animal feed, chips for food grade ethanol, and cassava starch) faces competition from (a) identical imported products, and (b) substitute products that are either being imported or locally grown. Hunger and Malnutrition in Nigeria

A lot has happened over the last 4 to 5 decades. We've seen a whole african giant diversify from agriculture to oil, and making so much money and revenue from this sector. We've seen many Nigerians struggle for survival just to make sure they put smiles on their family faces, Many have tried, Many have succeeded, many have failed. The problem doesn't just lie in hunger and malnutrition in our country today. An average Nigerian could work all day and night just to get a meal for his/her family to eat, thinking he has surmounted all his trouble for that day, and look up to the next.  Very painful to admit, .... But are these meals safe A lingering questions in the mind of everything sympathetic Nigerian today. Nigerians has suffered not only on the low  quantity of food produced but also on the quality of food produced , these two great factors has realy destroyed the shape of the food industry in Nigeria, who do not only die from hunger(lack of food),...

NIGERIA @ 60

NIGERIA @ 60 Fellow Nigerians, Nigeria is a great country which gained independence in October, 1960. Since then what are our assessment.!           A woman that was given birth to in 1960 would have gotten to her retirement age in Nigeria, If all thing been equally she would have given birth in her 20’s to 30’s she would have fully grown children and grand children so 60 years is enough for a country like Nigeria to be fully grown. But to our despair Nigeria has been like a pendulum moving to and fro if not a stagnant water, no lies there has been some significant positive changes but we need more for the so called giant of Africa.                                                                            ...

Nigerians, Lets Support Agriculture.

Nigeria, With our large increase in population. We still records tons of hunger and famine within the country despite our working efforts.  According to Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations , two-thirds of the Nigerian labour force works in agriculture, you'd think that for a rustic with such numbers, food security would be high and simply achievable.  However, the reverse is the case and therefore the reason is due to the old practices that are still getting used within the farming sector today. With the good development of agriculture, farmers in Nigeria still undergo tons of stress before foods are often produced, No available facilities and machineries to form farming activities as easy as possible  This was what prompted us to develop a community where farmers can close and leverage on one another’s knowledge, experience and expertise to enhance on their farming operations. The community is additionally opened for the expansion of the young f...
